Common Clutch Faults(三)
Clutch Shivering
(1)Phenomenon:When the clutch is engaged gently in normal operation, the car does not gradually and smoothly increase its speed, but starts intermittently, even causing the car to shiver until the clutch is fully engaged.
1. Clutch torsion, weakening of the shock absorber spring, weakening of the clutch compression spring, and cracking of the diaphragm spring can cause the clutch to shiver when it is engaged. The spring should be replaced at this time.
2. Poor clutch lining contact, surface hardening and adhesion of gelatinous material, which can easily cause clutch shivering. The clutch lining should be re-riveted at this time.
Clutch linings.
