Common Clutch Faults

Clutch noise

(1) Phenomenon: clutch rattling occurs in the process of clutch engagement or disengagement and speed changes. For example, when the clutch is just engaged, sometimes there will be "sand, sand, sand" sound, engagement, separation or sudden changes in speed there will be "kla, kla" sound, and so on. Clutch rattling is due to some parts of the abnormal friction and impact caused by the different sounds according to the rattling sound and the conditions can be judged to produce rattling parts and causes, in order to take the corresponding maintenance approach.

(2) Causes and treatment.

(1) The clutch pedal has no free travel or the free travel is too small, at this time the release lever is always in contact with the release bearing, even if the car is stopped, there will be a noise. The free travel of the clutch pedal should be adjusted.

After the clutch friction lining is worn out, the clutch is often in half-engaged state. When the car is in motion, the clutch release bearing rotates and causes a noise. This situation can be eliminated by adjusting the free travel of the clutch pedal. If it cannot be eliminated by adjusting the first travel, the clutch lining should be riveted again.

Clutch lining is dirty or oiled, plus friction heat. Gradually harden the lining. At this time, even if the Xiao have slipped, but also to produce

The noise is generated. At this time, the lining should be cleaned or replaced.

④Twisting of the clutch disc or breaking of the shock absorber spring will produce torsional vibration noise. Repair or replace the disc.

⑤ When the clutch release bearing is out of oil, it will produce "squeaking" noise. The release bearing should be oiled or replaced.

If the release lever (or diaphragm spring release finger) is not in the same plane, the shock absorber spring will break, and continuous slipping will occur at the start, causing vibration. In addition, the same phenomenon will occur if the clutch spring breaks and the elasticity becomes small. The spring force of the release lever is weakened, which will cause the clutch release bearing to return to a bad position, resulting in incomplete separation of the clutch and producing strange noises. At this time, the height of the release lever should be adjusted consistently and the spring should be replaced.

(vii) The spline of the slave disc hub or clutch slave shaft is worn, the slave disc or clutch slave shaft should be replaced.
