2. Performance Characteristics
Friction Performance:
The friction coefficient of asbestos-free rubber brake bands is stable (ranging from 0.34 to 0.39). They perform excellently on both dry and wet road surfaces and have a fast emergency braking response.
Temperature Resistance:
Ordinary models can withstand a temperature of approximately 300℃.
High-end products (such as Brembo ceramic pads) can resist high temperatures up to 800℃, making them suitable for racing tracks or heavy-load scenarios.
Durability:
Products with a special formula have a low wear rate, and their service life is extended by more than 30% compared with traditional asbestos brake bands.
Environmental Friendliness:
The asbestos-free composition complies with the EU REACH Regulation, reducing dust pollution and health risks.
