Rubber Materials and Structures

Base Materials:

Synthetic rubber provides elasticity and corrosion resistance. For instance, chloroprene rubber (CR) offers oil resistance, ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) exhibits high-temperature resistance, and nitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) has anti-aging properties.

Reinforcing Materials:

Materials such as copper wires, glass fibers, and aramid fibers enhance tensile strength and wear resistance. A typical example is the asbestos-free woven brake band, which improves structural stability through an integral weaving process.

Fillers:

Fillers like foam iron powder and barium sulfate whiskers improve frictional performance. Copper powder, on the other hand, is used for heat conduction and dissipation, making it suitable for high-temperature environments.
