The specific classification of brakes(一)

One, disc brake

1. Composition: controlled by hydraulic pressure, the main parts are brake disc, pump, brake clamp, oil pipe and so on.

2. Working principle: When braking, the oil is pressed into the inner and outer two-wheel cylinder, and the piston will press the two brake blocks under the action of hydraulic pressure brake disc, generating friction distance and braking. At this time, the edge of the rectangular rubber seal ring in the cylinder groove produces a trace of elastic deformation under the action of piston friction. When relaxing the brake, the piston and brake block rely on the elastic force of the seal ring and the elastic force of the spring. Because the rectangular sealing ring edge deformation is very small, in no braking, the gap between the friction plate and the disc is only about 0.1mm on each side, it is enough to ensure the release of the brake. And because of the heat expansion of the brake disc, its thickness is only a trace of change, so there will be no "stagnation" phenomenon. The rectangular rubber seal ring not only plays the role of sealing, but also plays the role of return position of piston and automatic adjustment of clearance. If the clearance wear between the friction plate and the disc of the brake block increases, the piston can continue to move until the friction plate compacts the brake disc after the deformation of the sealing ring reaches the limit during braking. After the brake is released, the rectangular rubber seal pushes the piston back the same distance as before the wear, still maintaining the standard value.

3. Features: The rotating element in the friction pair is the brake disc, the brake disc rotates with the wheel hub, with the two end faces as the working surface, the fixed element is the brake clamp, the brake clamp under the action of the brake wheel cylinder will press the brake block to the brake disc, resulting in the braking friction torque.

4. Use: disc brake has been widely used in cars, now most cars are used for all wheels, a few cars only as front wheel brake, with the rear wheel drum brake, so that the car has a higher braking direction stability. In commercial vehicles, disc brakes are gradually adopted in new models and high-end models.

Two, cone brake

1. Principle: The outer cone is fixed on the box wall, and the inner cone is connected with the drive shaft with the guiding flat key. Push the inner cone to the outer cone by manipulating the handle, so that the two inner and outer cones are tight, and brake the drive shaft by the friction torque of the two cone keys.

2. Features: large contact surface, good braking effect. 3. Application: Braking of smaller torque mechanism.

Three, clamp brake

Clamp brake is a disc brake, non-friction brake, it can be divided into magnetic powder brake, magnetic eddy current brake, water eddy current brake and so on.

1. Classification: clamp disc brake can be divided into fixed clamp disc and floating clamp disc according to the structure of the brake clamp.

2. Principle: Its rotating element is a metal disc with end face work, called the brake disc. The fixing element is a brake block composed of a friction block with a small working area and its metal backplane. There are 2~4 brake blocks in each brake. These brake blocks and their actuating devices are installed in a clamp-shaped bracket across both sides of the brake disc, which is generally called brake pliers. Brake disc and brake clamp together constitute the clamp disc brake.
