Spark plug
The spark plug is an important element to support the work of gasoline engines (diesel engines do compression ignition work, there is no spark plug). In the ignition system of a gasoline engine, high-voltage current is introduced into the cylinder to generate an electric spark to ignite the components of a combustible gas mixture. It is mainly composed of wiring nut, insulator, wiring screw, center electrode, side electrode and shell, and the side electrode is welded to the shell.
The copper core is recommended to be replaced every 20,000 to 30,000 kilometers; the nickel alloy is replaced at about 40,000 to 60,000 kilometers; the platinum core is recommended to be replaced every 80,000 kilometers; the iridium core is recommended to be replaced every 100,000 kilometers.
First, the working principle and role
Gasoline engines generate power through the timely combustion of fuel and gas mixtures. However, gasoline as a fuel is difficult to spontaneously ignite even in high temperature environments. To make it burn in time, it is necessary to ignite with "fire". The function of the spark plug is to generate the pulsed high-voltage electricity from the ignition coil at the tip to form an electric spark, ignite the gas-air mixture in the cylinder to perform work, which is most commonly equivalent to the flint of a lighter, an activated component.
