Performance and classification of brake pads
With the development of science and technology, heavy manual work is gradually transformed from manpower to machinery, such as cranes, forklifts, electric (manual) hoists, and one of these equipments has a component that we often overlook, that is, the brake pads. But the brake pads have been silently protecting the equipment.
Although the brake pads are inconspicuous, the performance requirements for the brake pads are very high. Its performance is determined by the technical ratio of materials. It must achieve high wear resistance, low noise, high temperature resistance, high strength, good braking ability, and extended service life. Therefore, the technical formula of brake pads is the life of an enterprise and is absolutely confidential.
Due to the different materials, we divide the brake pads into:
1. Rubber-based friction material, with wear resistance, low noise, good friction coefficient, affordable price, etc., are deeply loved by users.
2. The paper-based friction material has a stable friction coefficient and can still operate normally at a high temperature of 300 degrees Celsius. It is composed of imported plant fiber, carbon fiber, aramid fiber and so on.
3. Carbon fiber friction material has excellent friction performance, high temperature resistance above 300 degrees, high product strength, and is in the leading echelon in the field of friction materials.
4. Resin-based friction material with high hardness and wear resistance.
5. Semi-metal friction material, with extremely high hardness, good thermal stability and thermal conductivity, but easy to rust.
