The phenomenon of "thermal decay" refers to the phenomenon that the braking effect of the brake pads decreases or even fails after the temperature of the brake pads rises to a certain extent during continuous braking. This is very dangerous. Therefore, the critical temperature of "thermal decay" is very important. The obvious feeling is that the brake foot is soft, no matter how much you step on the brake, the effect is not obvious, and the braking distance is elongated. With different processes and formulations, the thermal decay temperature of the brake pads is very different. When the temperature of the brake pads drops, the braking effect will resume. The original brake pads are generally at 250℃-280℃, and the good brake pads should be at least above 350℃, so we should choose good quality in the selection, which is related to our own safety.
A more serious phenomenon is burning. When the temperature of the brake pads continues to rise, the internal structure of the brake pads undergoes chemical changes, resulting in changes in the molecular structure. His symptoms are particles of high temperature and high temperature crystallizing on the surface of the brake pads. When the burning is not serious, the particles on the surface can be polished off and it can be used normally, but if it is serious, it is necessary to replace the new brake pads.
