NAO brake pads
As people's awareness of environmental protection increases, non-asbestos friction materials gradually replace traditional materials and become the main friction material for brake pads.
At present, there are roughly the following types of non-asbestos brake friction pads:
1. Semi-metallic brake pads
2. NAO brake pads
3. Powder metallurgy brake friction pad
4. Carbon fiber brake pads
5. Ceramic fiber brake pads
NAO brake friction pads without asbestos friction pads: in a broad sense, it refers to non-asbestos-non-steel fiber friction materials, and occasionally contains a small amount of steel fibers. The base material in NAO friction materials is in most cases a mixture of two or more fibers (inorganic fibers and a small amount of organic fibers). Brake pads are usually chopped fiber type pads.
⊙ Advantages: It greatly reduces or even avoids the defects of semi-metallic friction materials such as high specific gravity, easy to rust, easy to generate braking noise, damage to the pair (disk, drum) and excessive thermal conductivity.
⊙ Disadvantage: Occasionally produces braking noise.
