OE Number: 1861219157 It is the core steel substrate of the driven disc for pull-type diaphragm spring clutches used in commercial vehicles and heavy-duty trucks. It is mainly compatible with clutch assemblies for MAN heavy trucks and some high-horsepower diesel commercial vehicles, and is commonly matched with 430mm diameter clutch pressure plate assemblies.

II. Core Material & Process Standards

1. Raw Material

Adopts thin sheet of 65Mn high-manganese spring steel (special spring steel for automotive clutches). It features high elastic limit, excellent fatigue resistance and high-temperature deformation resistance. After stamping forming, it undergoes integral quenching and tempering, followed by blackening or phosphating anti-rust surface treatment to prevent rusting and warping under high temperatures.

2. Manufacturing Processes

Precision CNC blanking and stamping, with position tolerance ≤0.05mm for outer rivet holes and inner spline hub riveting holes;

Pre-bending forming for corrugated steel plates to guarantee axial elasticity;

Edge deburring and stress relief treatment to prevent cracking and fracture under long-term alternating loads.

1. Rigid Torque Transmission

Serving as the rigid framework of friction facings, it converts friction force from the flywheel into torque, which is transmitted to the transmission input shaft via the central spline hub. It resists deformation and distortion under heavy loads to ensure stable high-torque output, ideal for full-load truck operation, hill climbing and frequent half-clutch engagement conditions.

2. Axial Elastic Cushioning (Most Critical Function)

The steel plate is stamped into a corrugated elastic structure:

Progressive deformation during gradual clutch engagement enables smooth vehicle start-up and eliminates jerky shocks from abrupt engagement;

Distributes pressure evenly across all points of the friction lining to avoid local overheating and lining burnout, greatly extending the service life of friction facings;

Absorbs axial displacement during gear shifting to reduce impact noise of transmission gears.

3. Vibration Damping & Thermal Stress Relief

Cooperates with torsional damping springs inside the driven disc to filter torsional resonance of the engine crankshaft and protect the driveline from resonance damage;

Outstanding thermal conductivity quickly dissipates high heat generated by half-clutch slipping, preventing thermal degradation, carbonization and slipping failure of friction materials.
