Automatic clutch

With the application of electronic technology in automobiles, an automatic clutch system has also entered the field of automobiles. This kind of clutch controlled by the control unit (ECU) has been applied in some cars, so that an important step of manual transmission shift - clutch disconnection and engagement can be completed automatically and timely, simplifying the driver's operation.

The traditional clutch is divided into two kinds: cable and hydraulic, and the automatic clutch is also divided into two kinds: mechanical motor automatic clutch and hydraulic automatic clutch. The ECU of the mechanical motor automatic clutch collects the gas pedal, the engine speed sensor, the speed sensor and other signals, and sends the command to drive the servo motor after processing, and drives the clutch through the pull rod and other mechanical forms; The hydraulic automatic clutch is sent by the ECU signal to drive the electro-hydraulic system, and the clutch action is hydraulically controlled.

The electronic control unit (ECU) and hydraulic execution system are added on the basis of the current universal diaphragm clutch, and the clutch cylinder piston is controlled by the pedal instead of the electric oil pump controlled by the switching device. The transmission control unit (ECU) is integrated with the engine control unit (ECU) to calculate the optimal clutch engagement time and speed based on sensor feedback information such as the accelerator pedal, transmission gear, transmission input/output shaft speed, engine speed, throttle opening, etc.

The actuator of the automatic clutch is composed of an electric oil pump, a solenoid valve and a clutch oil cylinder. When the ECU sends an instruction to drive the electric oil pump, the high-pressure oil produced by the electric oil pump is transported to the clutch oil cylinder through the solenoid valve. The electric flow of the solenoid valve is controlled by the ECU to control the oil flow and the channel change of the oil, so as to realize the movement of the clutch cylinder piston, so as to complete the clutch action when the car starts and shifts.

Ecus with automatic clutch devices compared with automatic transmission (AT) and continuously variable transmission (CVT) cars, it has an advantage in terms of running economy, because its transmission is still manual transmission, so lower fuel consumption, manufacturing costs are lower than AT and CVT. Of course, the convenience of car handling will also be inferior to AT and CVT, after all, it is equipped with manual transmission, still have to manually shift.
