Use of the clutch
The clutches we often hear in our lives are on cars, but clutches are used in many of our equipment, like garden equipment, such as lawn mowers, and of course others. Today we will talk about the use of garden clutches.
The main component of the clutch is the friction plate. The friction plate is divided into an active friction plate and a passive friction plate. The active friction plate is connected to the crankshaft of the engine through a gear, and the passive friction plate is connected to the transmission drive wheel through a gear.
When we start the equipment, the engine is in an idle state, and when the clutch is not pulled, the clutch is in an "engaged" state. When the crankshaft of the engine drives the clutch to rotate through the gear, since the clutch is now in an engaged state, the power of the crankshaft is transmitted to the on the transmission drive wheel. When we are ready to squeeze the clutch lever, the clutch cable allows the clutch lever to push the pressure plate away, which also "separates" the power output from the crankshaft to the transmission.
