Organic Friction Sheet Composition
Whether it is a wet or dry friction plate, the main component is the so-called ternary composite material. According to the raw material and material function, it is divided into three types: reinforcing fiber material, binder and friction performance modifier, which is ternary. Among them, the friction modifier usually has a small amount of ingredients, and is sometimes called a filler.
Reinforcing fiber is the main material of wet friction paper, which plays a decisive role in the friction and wear performance, heat resistance and mechanical properties of wet friction paper. Like the human skeleton, it plays a leading role in the friction plate, that is, a good comrade who works hard and does great work. The impact force and shear force generated by combined friction during use; the pressure of the counterpart and the centrifugal force generated by rotation are mainly borne by it. The visual sense of this composition is a bit like the feeling of cotton yarn in a cotton spinning mill. To some extent it is indeed a combination of organic fibers and copper wires, (the yellow metal wires that can be seen on the clutch plate are copper wires).
The basic principles for selecting reinforcing fibers are:
1. It can withstand force without falling apart and acts as a bone.
2 to provide a suitable coefficient of friction,
3 Heat resistance, as the saying goes, it cannot be burned.
4. It can be wound into shape, and it is a bit easy to take cotton yarn and spin it into cloth.
