Maintenance and Replacement of Clutch Facings
Regular Inspection
Regularly check the wear condition of clutch facings, surface flatness, and defects such as oil stains or cracks.
Monitor parameters like clutch pedal travel and engagement point, and address issues promptly upon detection.
Replacement Timing
Generally, clutch facings and pressure plates should be considered for replacement after a vehicle has driven approximately 50,000-60,000 kilometers or been used for about 6 years.
Immediate replacement is also required if the following issues occur:
Clutch slipping
Jerking sensation during gear shifting
Stiffness when pressing or releasing the clutch pedal
Unusual odor during gear shifting
Key Points
Wear Detection: Visually inspect for uneven wear or thinning of the facing material.
Functional Abnormalities: Abnormal noises, reduced transmission efficiency, or inconsistent engagement points may indicate wear.
Environmental Factors: Frequent heavy loads, harsh driving conditions, or oil leakage from the transmission system can accelerate wear, requiring more frequent inspections.
