The main links in the production process of brake pad friction materials include:
1. Material inspection: Conduct necessary inspections on the raw materials used, and make necessary adjustments to the proportions in the formula according to the characteristics of their physical and chemical indicators.
2. Ingredients: The raw materials are measured according to the proportion determined by the formula. Currently, there are two commonly used measurement methods: manual measurement and computer automatic measurement. The latter is advanced and reliable.
3. Mixing: Mixing raw materials. Mixing can be divided into wet mixing and semi-dry mixing. Commonly used mixers include three-shaft spiral type, two-shaft type, rake type, etc. Among them, the rake type is the most commonly used one.
4. Stamping forming: divided into one-step forming method and two-step forming method. The one-step forming method is to load the material into the mold and directly hot-press it.
