Friction material – rubber
Rubber is one of the main binders in friction materials. In the production of friction materials, there are few pure resin-type friction material products, and generally resin-rubber mixed binders are used.
The friction material products that use resin as the binder alone will have obvious defects, because the resin is brittle and hard, the material of the product is brittle and hard, the impact resistance is poor, the adhesion to the surface of the lotus root is poor, and the temperature near the contact point Very high, easy to produce cracks, resulting in surface chipping and falling off, accelerated wear, short service life, easy to generate noise, and soft and elastic rubber is added to the resin, which can improve and overcome the above shortcomings.
Resin-based friction material products are hard, while rubber-based products are softer, and are mainly used in working environments with low braking pressure and relative friction speed and low working temperature. Our common rubbers are natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber and nitrile rubber.
