The most commonly used molding method in the production process of friction plates is to mold and solidify pressed plastics under pressure and heating conditions to obtain friction plates with a specified shape, a certain density, hardness and mechanical strength. There are also very few products that are molded at lower pressures and temperatures. Each of these process methods has its own characteristics. Some processes are heating and pressurizing at the same time in the same equipment, and some processes are heating and pressurizing separately in different equipment.
Hot press molding is to put pressed plastic (powder, granular, sheet, linear or cloth pressed plastic) into a mold that has been heated to a certain temperature (commonly used temperature is 155±5℃), and then close the mold. , deflate and pressurize, so that the pressed plastic is formed and solidified in the die, thereby obtaining various pressed products, such as brake pads, clutch face sheets, oil drilling rig brake shoes, train synthetic brake shoes and other molded friction pads. For a long time, the hot press molding process has been the most widely used molding and curing process at home and abroad.
