Brake Drum Structure
Drum brake drum: A cast iron part resembling a tambourine, it is fixed to the tire and rotates at the same speed. When braking, the hydraulic pressure pushes the brake shoes to contact the inner edge of the brake drum, and the friction force suppresses the rotation of the tire to achieve braking.
Automotive Component: Drum Brake Drum
Disc brake drum: It is in the shape of a metal disc and is fixed on the wheel. When the brake is applied, the brake caliper clamps the brake disc to slow down or stop the vehicle.
